The choker watch was more than an iconic piece of designer wear, accentuating her flawless appearance at the prestigious music awards show that concluded on 5 February.
Given her self-made billionaire status, worldwide fame and millions of loyal fan base (the Swifties), it was apparent that all eyes would follow Swift, her sartorial statement, and the awards she would take home on the night.

Taylor Swift arrived in style at the Grammys 2024 wearing a custom white strapless Schiaparelli dress and black opera gloves channelling all of the Old Hollywood glamour.
Adorning her neck were not one or two but five diamond necklaces designed by American luxury jeweller Lorraine Schwartz. The total of the necklaces was around 300 carats.
But the highlight was the custom-made Lorraine Schwartz wristwatch choker placed at the top of all others. The necklace was made out of black stones, while the square-designed watch face had a classic white dial.
The watch was set to 12 am — a nod to Midnights, which was released in October 2022.

Taylor Swift is not the first artist to wear a wristwatch as a necklace. Pop superstar Rihanna is credited with popularising the trend and is known for experimenting with watch chokers frequently.
She wore a custom Jacob & Co. watch in a 47mm case fully set with diamonds around her neck at Pharrell Williams’s debut fashion show for Louis Vuitton in 2023. The same year, she wore another Jacob & Co. Diamond watch as an anklet at a different event.
Besides Rihanna and Swift, artists who are known for using watches as an unconventional accessory include Olivia Rodrigo, who wore a skirt made of timepieces for a Rolling Stone cover shoot, and Megan Thee Stallion, who is known for owning several ring watches.
