Brabus’ Big Boy RV Is a Luxury Home on Wheels

Brabus just launched an RV that is equal to its famous supercars and boats.

Measuring a whopping 40 feet long and over 12 feet high, the Big Boy motorhome was fittingly named after one of the world’s largest locomotives and is about as close to a luxury residence on wheels as you can get. Two extendable slide-outs allow the bedroom and saloon to extend to almost 15 feet wide, allowing for plenty of room to stash the double bed or lounge with your travel companions.

The entire space is outfitted with top-of-the-line digital and entertainment equipment, including a Starlink connection to stream movies or browse the internet even when passing through remote areas. This can all be done on the 4K television installed just opposite the bed, but if the mood strikes to indulge in some gaming, an integrated PlayStation 5 system has you covered.

The materials used to outfit the interior itself are just as thoughtful. The primary living area comes with leather-upholstered couches to increase the homey factor while accents of glossy black wood and carbon trim lend it a sporty touch in keeping with the Brabus lineup. Yet, it’s the bathroom that might be the most impressive element. Entirely lined in genuine granite, it features a spacious walk-in shower — complete with a rainforest showerhead — entirely enclosed in glass and an adjacent toilet area. Though more pragmatic, this level of plush detailing is mirrored by the driver’s cabin, which also comes with perforated, leather-upholstered seats and a bed discreetly located above with ample privacy curtains.

To keep everything functioning smoothly, what’s beneath the hood has some serious power. A robust 12.8-liter, six-cylinder turbodiesel engine generates 530 horsepower with a maximum torque of 2,600 Nm. The motorhome’s top speed is limited to 56 mph, but a three-axle chassis and twin rear tires will help ensure that the ride is as safe as it is comfortable. Brabus doesn’t quote a price though according to AutoEvolution it is a reported $1.5 million.
