Kash Hovey & Friends Win BIG at “Film Fest LA at LA Live 2023

Film Fest LA at LA Live is all day event know for it’s selection of innovative films and filmmakers as well as supporting up and coming artists making a name for themselves in the entertainment industry.

In a landmark fifth-year of collaboration, the Film Fest LA at LA Live unveiled its dazzling 2023 festival finale: the Kash Hovey & Friends Film Block. This cinematic showcase rolled out the red carpet for Hollywood’s elite in November 2023 offering a glamorous coda to LA’s prestigious film festival
season featuring work and appearances from celebrities including Kash Hovey (The Hit), Christine Lakin (The Goldberg’s/Step by Step), Isabella Blake-Thomas (Unseen), Jax Malcom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Michelle Beaulieu (On Air with Ka$h), Alexander James Rodriguez (Replica) Wyni Landry (9-1-1), Kira Reed Lorsch (Beckman) Valerie Brandy (Justified), Chandler Lovelle (The Fabelmans),
fashion designer Estel Day, recording artist Adil C, and many more.

The “The Hit” won 6 awards including Best Actor (Kash Hovey), Best Actress Wyni Landry, and best film in the Mystery/Thriller category.

Isabella Blake-Thomas’ film “Unseen” won 3 awards including Best Drama Short which she starred in and produced. Her mother Elizabth Blake-Thomas won Best Director and Female Filmmaker for the film.”

Christin Lakin and Alex Ellis won Best Musical Short for “Who Am I?” Starring Petey Pablo.

“Trident by Jax Malcolm the Sketch Collection” by KAP Productions starring Jax Malcolm, directed by Gary Robinson won Best Fashion Documentary.

“On Air with Ka$h” hosted by Kash Hovey, produced by Michelle Beaulieu featured interviews with Beverly D’Angelo and Tim Burton, won Best Variety Talk Show and Best Host.

“Sales Tactics” written directed by Valerie Brandy starring Eric Isenhower won Best Writer and Director for a Micro-short Film.

Valerie Brandy, Kash Hovey, and Eric Isenhower can next be seen in the upcoming feature film “A Unified Theory of Love” scheduled for release in 2024.
