Delta Marine and Bannenberg & Rowell Unveil a Line of Hybrid Yachts
Forget one superyacht. Delta Marine is working on an entire family of cruisers.
The Seattle-based shipyard, known for long-range superyachts and highly customized builds, has joined forces with British design studio Bannenberg & Rowell to create a line of stylish hybrids ranging from 164 to 246 feet.
The new models combine Delta’s rugged design DNA with a bold, future-forward aesthetic, meaning that they should stand the test of time. “Our goal was to create a yacht that feels unmistakably Delta while introducing a fresh sense of dynamism and physicality,” Bannenberg & Rowell creative director Simon Rowell said in a statement.

The yachts are distinguished by a new sculptural hull form featuring an intersection of creases that create a subtle triangle motif reminiscent of the delta symbol. That sharp, contemporary feel extends to the rest of the exterior, with each vessel showcasing aerodynamic, angled canopies, sculpted aft bulwarks, and geometric glazing. The layout seamlessly blends the interior and the exterior, with expansive entertaining areas and lounge spaces that flow inside and out.
In terms of performance, the newcomers will all be equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system that includes advanced podded drive units and an integrated energy storage solution. The setup combines traditional diesel generators with electric propulsion to ensure reliable and efficient cruising while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Delta didn’t share any performance specs, but says the configuration gives the range, performance, and reliability one would expect from a world-class yacht.

“The collaboration forms part of Delta Marine’s broader vision for the future, one that embraces international partnerships, evolving owner expectations, and continued commitment to engineering excellence,” adds Delta vice president Michelle Jones.
Delta didn’t specify exactly how many models are in the range, but has unveiled a 164-footer to start with. The yard says it will have an interior volume of under 500 GT, with deliberate constraints on internal space creating more exterior real estate. Highlights include a large aft pool, a swim platform with fold-out terraces, a bow lounge, and multiple al fresco lounge and dining spots.

A 213-foot variant is also under development, with the design scalable across the entire lineup. Delta says materials and finishes can be customized by future owners, too, meaning you can really put your stamp on your chosen superyacht.
