Sirena’s 138-Foot Superyacht Has a Two-Deck Owner’s Terrace in the Bow

Sirena Marine has officially gone supersize.

The Turkish yard launched a superyacht division in 2022, unveiling the first model in the new three-strong range at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

The Sirena 42 features timeless exterior lines by Italian designer Luca Vallebona, stylish interiors by Milanese studio Hot Lab, and naval architecture by Dutch firm Van Oossanen. The 138-footer combines a steel fast-displacement hull with a lightweight aluminum superstructure, ensuring it is both sturdy and efficient.

The flagship puts the owner first, quite literally. The owner’s quarters are positioned forward on the main deck, offering up a spacious full-beam suite with a luxe bathroom, office, dressing room, and large glass doors that open to a private terrace discreetly hidden in the bow.

“Hidden means private, but not fully enclosed, so that the daylight or the night summer sky can flood, can complete, can give life and poetry to this space which is usually a closed technical space just behind the mooring area,” explains Vallebona.

The terrace actually spans two decks—something which Sirena says is totally unique, even among larger superyachts—with an elegant wood and metal staircase that leads from the airy patio on the main deck to a plush lounge on the deck above.

As for guests, four en suite guest cabins—two VIPs and two twins—are located on the lower deck, along with five crew cabins. In total, the yacht can sleep up to 11 guests and nine crew.

The layout is geared toward indoor-outdoor living, with ample space for relaxing and entertaining across four decks. The main salon is fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows and fully opening aft doors that lead to the beach club. At the top of the aft deck is a C-shaped sofa that overlooks a striking glass-back pool that sits flush to the deck as part of the transom itself. Fold-down wings open up further open up the area, creating over 760 square feet by the water’s edge. A hydraulic swim platform makes it a cinch to get into the water, too.

At the opposite end, the sundeck is dotted with sun loungers, a bar, and a dining table. It could also be turned into an open-air gym, cinema, or hot tub area, with the hardtop offering protection in all conditions.

Taking cues from nature, the decor combines a soft neutral palette with organic shapes. Sculptural wood walls, buttery Italian limestone panels, and walnut parquet with inlaid patterned carpet appear throughout, complemented by curved furniture and soft lighting fixtures.

“We came with the idea to do something a bit different—this is not the standard interior,” adds Chiara Pastore of Hot Lab. “It is mostly inspired by nature, with a natural colour palette and organic shapes that hide the technical elements as much as possible.”

Built at Sirena’s yard in Yalova, Turkey, the 42 is powered by twin MAN V-12 engines rated at 1,450 hp each. During sea trials, the yacht exceeded expectations, reaching a top speed of 16 knots. It has a transoceanic range of 4,600 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.

Sirena’s superyacht line will initially comprise three models, including a 35m and a 50m that measure 115 and 164 feet, respectively.
