Thirty years after her murder, Nicole Brown Simpson‘s loved ones are honoring her life in an exclusive documentary.

Airing over two nights, The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson premieres tonight and tomorrow on Lifetime. Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman, were found stabbed to death in her home in Los Angeles on June 12, 1994. In what was dubbed the “trial of the century,” Simpson’s ex-husband, former NFL player O.J. Simpson, was acquitted in both murders but was later found liable for their deaths in a civil suit and ordered to pay $34 million to the victims’ families.

“People are actually going to hear her voice,” Nicole’s younger sister Tanya Brown tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I forgot what she sounded like. The only recording I remembered was her 911 call, and I don’t want to remember my sister’s voice in fear. I want to hear her playing on the beach with her kids saying, ‘Hi Sydney’ [to her daughter].”

The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson “provides an opportunity for Nicole’s own narrative and voice to be heard in one of the most notorious crimes and trials in history. The project features 50 participants, including those who knew Nicole the best — her friends and family — to shed new light on her life and tragic death. With unprecedented access to exclusive home videos and interviews, the documentary will reveal shocking new details in the tragic story,” notes the logline. The doc was announced the day after the death of O.J. Simpson, who died in April of prostate cancer at 76.

The documentary is part of A+E Networks’ Stop Violence Against Women initiative.
