Invictus Unveils a New 55-Foot Yacht Is Inspired by the Horizon

Invictus is going a little deeper with its flagship.

The Italian shipyard, owned by the Aschenez Group, has unveiled a new bespoke version of the ST550 that is more design-forward than the standard model. The ST550 Deep Horizon—which premiered at the Cannes and Genoa boat shows but only now has been photographed in full—takes inspiration from the horizon and blends harmoniously with its surroundings.

Designed by Atelier Invictus and designer Fabio Rotella, the 55-footer introduces a fresh aesthetic but retains all the defining characteristics of the ST550 that debuted at Cannes in 2025. Penned by Christian Grande, the flagship features an open, functional layout that creates generous volumes—the “S” in the name stands for space—plus a distinctive semi-reverse bow and twin Volvo Penta IPS engines that help it reach a top speed of roughly 35 knots. The bespoke Deep Horizon variant ups the ante with carefully curated materials, finishes, lighting, and color palettes.

Custom fabrics and leathers, along with signature Invictus details such as the buckles on the backrests, create a refined and cohesive feel throughout. Splashes of marble in the guest and primary bathrooms—one in Silk Georgette, the other in Portoro Gold—add a good dose of luxury, too. The layout includes a full-beam owner’s suite at the bow, two guest cabins on the lower deck, and a flexible living/galley space amidships that can become a third cabin if desired.

Large sliding glass doors seamlessly connect the inside and out. The exterior spaces showcase the same meticulous design and attention to detail. Invictus developed a dedicated exterior colorway, pairing a cool gray hull with a contrasting pearlescent white deck. The hard-wearing technical fabrics feature original graphic patterns, meaning they not only meet the demands of the marine environment but also make a style statement. The cockpit is fitted with a dining table that converts into a sun pad and fold-down bulwarks that open to create waterside terraces. From here, the wide side decks lead forward to an expansive bow lounge with a U-shaped sofa and a sun pad.

“The positive response we received in Cannes and Genoa confirms the interest in an approach to yacht design that combines identity, design quality and opportunities for customization,” Luca Brancaleon, executive V.P. of sales and marketing of Aschenez Group, said in a statement. “With the ST550 Deep Horizon, we aim to build on this approach, offering our clients new opportunities to shape their yachts according to their personal tastes through materials, finishes and details that reflect their individual vision of life at sea.”

It seems Invictus is planning to go deeper still.
