Taylor Swift Chowed Down on Wagyu and Fries at Spago in Beverly Hills Earlier than the Golden Globes
Taylor Swift has a taste for the finer things in life.
Over the weekend, the pop star was in Los Angeles to attend the Golden Globes—but before the awards show, she enjoyed a quiet dinner at Spago in Beverly Hills with a couple of her new friends. Swift was spotted at the famous Wolfgang Puck restaurant on Saturday evening with Brittany Mahomes and Lyndsay Bell, who are both married to players on the Kansas City Chiefs. (Swift, as you may be aware, is dating Travis Kelce, the team’s star tight end.)
“They ordered wagyu and fries,” an anonymous onlooker told People. “It was a girls’ dinner, and they were all super chill and just relaxing and very low-key in the dining room.”
If the trio ordered off the regular dinner menu, the only Wagyu offering online is a $168 Stone Axe Farm steak served with fingerling potato, dragon beans, salsa macha, and a red-wine reduction. The fries, though, seem to have been an off-menu item. Anything’s possible when you’re one of the most famous people on the planet.
For the cozy dinner out, Swift opted for a polo sweater tucked into a high-waisted mini skirt, paired with lace-up thigh-high boots. Of course, she didn’t skip her signature red lip. The next evening, at the Golden Globes, she walked the red carpet in a metallic green Gucci gown, potentially a nod to the upcoming release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version). She accessorized her dress with a dozen bejeweled pieces from De Beers, including the brand’s Arpeggia Three Line Diamond Earrings (9.09 carats) and the OBS Pear-Shaped Diamond Ring (5.45 carats).
Swift is well known for frequenting iconic restaurants with her friends, despite the crowds and paparazzi she draws with her every move. In recent months, she’s been spotted out and about in New York, at establishments like Nobu Fifty Seven, Waverly Inn, Minetta Tavern, Bond St, and the private members club Zero Bond.
“Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” Swift told Time in her “Person of the Year” cover story. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends.”
Sometimes celebrities—even Taylor Swift—are just like us after all.
