Devialet has created its first artistic collaboration for the Chinese New Year – the Phantom I 108 dB by 2 Chinese artists Yang Bao & Wa Liu.

Featuring the two artists based in New York and Beijing, the flagship speaker has been transformed into «ANIMAL», an artistic expression of infinite music and metamorphosis. Devialet’s emblematic Phantom I is now adorned in 22.5-carat gold and polished red varnish set by hand craftsmen in Ateliers Gohard for a new look that is a blend of French style and Chinese sophistication.

Artist Wa Liu comments on both the auditory and visual experience from the limited edition speaker, “When you play music on it, especially with heavy bass, it always feels like it is alive. That’s the reason why we’re focusing on the idea of animality and metamorphosis on this design, to create something that is breathing while also producing very beautiful music.”
