Michelin Simply Added 6 New Eating places to Its Hong Kong Information

On Thursday, March 14, the Michelin Guide 2024 announced nine new additions to its Hong Kong and Macau guide. In total, 79 restaurants in Hong Kong and 16 restaurants in Macau received the badge of culinary excellence this year. Seven restaurants in Hong Kong received the coveted Three Star for one more year. Meanwhile, two establishments in Macau retained the Three Star.

While Michelin added 6 new restaurants to its Hong Kong guide, Noi and The Huaiyang Garden are newly promoted to Two MICHELIN Stars in the 16th edition of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau.

Despite all that transpired during the pandemic, Hong Kong is still home to one of the most innovative and diverse food scenes. At its core, the city’s restaurant scene thrives on diversity, resulting in genre-bending cuisines that have given rise to some of Hong Kong’s best fine dining institutions.

Michelin offers four levels of honours

Every year, the Michelin Guide announces its updated list of the best restaurants in HK and Macau. As a quick refresher, Michelin offers four levels of honours. The organization awards its famous one-, two- and three-star ratings. The “discoveries” from Michelin represent a selection of the best restaurants. The Michelin inspectors also tip their hat to excellent value places to eat and the chefs working towards becoming more eco-friendly with its Green Stars.

This remains one of the biggest food moments of the year, with the list eagerly anticipated by chefs and foodies. Here is a list of the restaurants the Michelin Guide honoured this year.
